This is a replacement rudder only for Hoodoo kayaks. The rudder features a spring-loaded design that allows it to retract when the deployment rope is pulled or if it contacts an underwater object, then automatically return to the deployed position for continued steering control.
Standard Blade Rudder
The standard blade provides reliable tracking and responsive steering. Comes stock on:
• Impulse 105
• Tempest 120P
• Blackfin 120P
XL Blade Rudder
The XL blade uses the same mounting attachment as the standard rudder but features a larger blade surface to move more water, making it easier to turn larger kayaks with less effort. This rudder comes stock on the Impulse 120.
The Element 100S can be outfitted with a rudder for steering purposes, but additional customization is required.
Note: Replacement rudder blade only. Mounting hardware and deployment rope are not included.
